Profile Technologies, Inc. Awarded Contract for EMW-C(TM) Inspection Services.

NEW YORK -- Profile Technologies, Inc. (OTC:PRTK, the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract with Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) to provide cased pipeline integrity assessments at eight road crossings in Northern California using the EMW-C[TM]. This contract marks a return for the Company to provide these services to PG&E as a follow-up to a recent contract completed there in December of 2007. The new work is expected to take place in September 2008. The Company expects that this project will lead to additional inspection services with this and other pipeline operators.

The EMW-C[TM] Inspection Service developed by the Company can be used by pipeline operators to non-destructively assess the corrosion conditions of cased pipeline sections using a patented long-range electromagnetic scanning process. Cased pipeline sections (typically found at road, rail, and river crossings) present a unique challenge to otherwise standard assessment technologies. The EMW-C[TM] was specifically developed to assess cased and thermally insulated pipelines for corrosion and other conditions that may affect the integrity of those pipelines.
