Professor Norbet Bachl Joins GTG Scientific Advisory Committee.

:GTG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Norbet Bachl to the GTG Scientific Advisory Committee.

Professor Bachl, M.D., is Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science and University Sports, and Head of the Department of Sport and Exercise Physiology, at the University of Vienna History
The University was founded on March 12, 1365 by Duke Rudolph IV and his brothers Albert III and Leopold III, hence the additional name "Alma Mater Rudolphina". After the Charles University in Prague, the University of Vienna is the second oldest university in Central

Professor Bachl also serves on multiple high-level sports committees. He is a member of the Scientific and Education Group of the International Olympic Committee “IOC” redirects here. For other uses, see IOC (disambiguation).

Professor Bachl's diverse interests allow him to help optimize the performance of athletes from a wide range of sports, as well as help improve the health of the general population. At the University of Vienna, his Faculty continues to provide professional expertise in the fields of exercise physiology, sports medicine, biomechanics, training optimisation and sports psychology.

Professor Bachl has also played a role in the development of methods to counteract the onset of muscle atrophy in cosmonauts/astronauts. These efforts involved trials performed aboard the space station Mir, and have resulted in the development of the MOTOMIR system, now also certified by NASA NASA: see National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Professor Bachl is already an advocate for the GTG Sports Gene Test and is assisting GTG to expand its genetic testing and licensing activities in Europe.
