This conference is co-hosted by ACA's Southeastern Section and ACAs Heart of the South Section There are workshops for a variety of interests and levels of experience. Half- and full-day sessions include: staff selection and training, special needs, insurance issues, Web site development, marketing, programming, fund raising, camping technology, public policy, risk management, and other key topics of interest to our members. Pre-conference events include recreational opportunities as well as Basic Camp Director Course, Standards Courses, New Directors Orientation, and Associate Visitor Training. Over twenty-five vendors and the ACA Bookstore are represented with plenty of time to visit exhibits.

In November 2003 the Forest Service will be co-convening a national partnership conference with the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the Bureau of Reclamation. Participants will address the challenges and opportunities associated with the stewardship of natural and cultural resources to achieve a nationwide network of public spaces.
