For other people named William Reeves, see William Reeves (disambiguation).

William Reeves, also known as Bill, is a pioneer in the field of computer graphics.
, President of Lifeline BioTechnologies, Inc., (NQB NQB National Quotation Bureau, Inc (now Pink Sheets) :LBTI LBTI Left Belt Tensioner Igniter ), today reported that the first-ever professional introduction of its patented First Warning(TM) System for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer was greeted with an overwhelmingly favorable response at the just concluded Annual Meeting and 50th Anniversary of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) is a professional association of medical doctors specializing in obstetrics and gynecology in the United States. It has a membership of over 49,000[1] and represents 90 percent of U.S.  in Chicago.

Physicians and health professionals from the U.S., including Department Chairmen from several of the nation's most prestigious medical schools as well as representatives from Europe and Asia, received a first hand demonstration and presentation of the value of the First Warning(TM) System in providing an effective and easily utilizable high-risk marker for the early detection of breast cancer in individual women at any age. (A "marker" is an indication of the possible presence of an abnormality.) Each asked to receive updates from the company on an ongoing basis.

Assisting in demonstrations of the First Warning(TM) System was Louis G. Keith, M.D., who has a worldwide reputation in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology obstetrics and gynecology

, and who recently joined Lifeline as a clinical consultant and advisor. (See Lifeline's news release of Dec. 7, 2000.) Keith is Graduate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Medical School and Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cook County Graduate School of Medicine, both in Chicago. His affiliation with Reeves spans over 20 years.

Jim Holmes, Lifeline's CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , noted inquiries from representatives in five countries regarding possible distributorships of the CAPP(TM) test (note a), that component of the First Warning(TM) System that will be marketed directly to physicians. They were Spain, the Philippines, India, Taiwan and Australia. Inquiries regarding market representation for Lifeline have also been received from Germany, Italy, China and Japan.

Representatives of several medical journals visited Lifeline's booth to review the First Warning(TM) System, and forthcoming articles will be announced shortly. Lifeline also received an invitation from the publishers of what is arguably the world's most prestigious medical journal, the New England Journal of Medicine The New England Journal of Medicine (New Engl J Med or NEJM) is an English-language peer-reviewed medical journal published by the Massachusetts Medical Society. It is one of the most popular and widely-read peer-reviewed general medical journals in the world. , to participate in an international medical conference in Nice, France, next spring.

Reeves noted that the critical need for a reliable means of early detection of breast cancer was ironically highlighted by The Breast Journal, the Official Medical Journal of the American Society of Breast Disease, in a recently published article entitled "The Effectiveness of the Gail Model in Estimating Risk for Development of Breast Cancer in Women Under 40 Years of Age." It stated that that model (another effort which, it was hoped, would provide a high risk marker for breast cancer) "may be useful in predicting long term risks for the large populations but it has little use in predicting immediate individual risk in women under 40 years of age."

note a: Lifeline's CAPP(TM) test (Computer Assisted Physiological Profile) is similar in function to the PAP smear Pap smear

Cervical cancer is a disease in which the cells of the cervix become abnormal and start to grow uncontrollably, forming tumors.
deaths by 70% in the last two decades. CAPP(TM), the breast test, is programmed to take readings from its sixteen sensors, eight on each breast, every five minutes over a 48-hour test period. These readings are collected by the Monitor, and upon completion, the data is downloaded from the Monitor to the Chrononet(TM) for interpretation.

The results of the interpretation are returned to the testing physician STATT for his use in recommending therapy to his patient. This results in a virtual real-time examination and provides, among many other things, a method of identifying breast cancer in individual women of any age and at a significantly earlier pathological stage than any other currently available diagnostic procedure.
