Professional Chain Saw Sculptors Carve Their Best for Championship Title at Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival.

 in the U.S. will compete in the ECHO Chain Saw Carving carving,
n the shaping and forming with instruments.
 Series Championship hosted by the Ducks Unlimited Ducks Unlimited is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of wetlands and associated upland habitats for waterfowl, other wildlife, and people. It currently has approximately 775,000 members, mostly in the United States and Canada.  Great Outdoors Festival August 25 -27, at the EAA EAA Experimental Aircraft Association

The ECHO Carving Series is a showcase competition among award winning chain saw sculptors. More than 125 pro-carvers competed this year in one of four qualifying events for a seat in the finals. The eight finalists will have 20 hours of carving time to sculpt sculpt

1. To sculpture (an object).

2. To shape, mold, or fashion especially with artistry or precision:
 six-foot logs into their interpretation of 'The Sporting Life'. The final pieces will be judged on Sunday, August 27, at the Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival then auctioned off to the public with half the proceeds donated to Ducks Unlimited's wetlands conservation efforts. Cash and prizes donated by a variety of companies and totaling more than $30,000 will be awarded to the eight competitors, with the champion carver also receiving the ECHO Carving Cup.

Last year Dayton Scoggins took the Cup along with cash and a Ducks Unlimited Yamaha Grizzly ATV (1) (Advanced TV) An early name for the digital TV standard proposed by the Advisory Committee on Advanced Television Service (ACATS). See ACATS. See also ATV Forum.

ECHO's partnership with Ducks Unlimited and Yamaha is based on each organization's dedication to providing outstanding service, quality products and vision for the future conservation of North America's natural habitats.

The Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival will take place at the EAA Convention Grounds, 3000 Poberezny Road in Oshkosh, WI 54901. Festival hours are: Friday, August 26, noon - 7 p.m.; Saturday, August 27, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.; and Sunday, August 28, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Carving will take place during all festival hours. Tickets are available at the gate or online at www.dugof.com.. Parking at the event is FREE and children five & under and dogs on a lead are admitted free.
