Profession's top tax award goes to Michael E. Mares.Michael E. Mares is this year's recipient of the Arthur J. Dixon Arthur J. Dixon (born: December 1, 1919 - died: February 5, 2007) was a former member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and a real estate agent. Dixon first got involved in politics running in the 1949 Canadian Federal Election and again in a 1951 by-election for the Memorial Award, the accounting profession's highest award in the area of taxation. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media.
