Production increase.

Cereplast Inc., a Hawthorne-based manufacturer of renewable plastics, increased its production facilities by 10,000 sq. feet in order to meet an expected increase in customer demand. The company is near completion of its new production line for bio-based resins resins,

. When the project is completed, the company's total production capacity will be 40 million pounds of resin resin, any of a class of amorphous solids or semisolids. Resins are found in nature and are chiefly of vegetable origin. They are typically light yellow to dark brown in color; tasteless; odorless or faintly aromatic; translucent or transparent; brittle, fracturing  per year.
