Prodigy Internet Now Available for Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0

At today's opening of the Internet World trade show today in Los Angeles, California, Prodigy Services Corporation announced an expansion of its marketing and cross-distribution relationship with Microsoft Corp. that was formed last October. As a result, Prodigy Internet is now available through Microsoft's Internet Referral Server program, making it one of a few select services that will be available through both the Internet Referral Server and the Online Services Folder on the Windows 95 operating system desktop.

Prodigy also announced that it is now offering Prodigy Internet for Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0, which is now officially the primary browser for all new enrollees in Prodigy Internet, its new flagship product that brings together the raw and unlimited access power of an

Internet Service Provider (ISP) with the ease of use, navigation, personalization and exclusive content that until recently were only available through an online service. Prodigy confirmed that it has shipped the 'gold-disk' version of Prodigy Internet for Microsoft Internet Explorer to its retail partners, and is also offering it to the general public through the company's Web site located at http://www.prodigy.com, or via its toll-free fulfillment number: 1- 800- PRODIGY (776-3449). New Internet users who initially click on 'The Internet' icon on the Windows 95 operating system desktop can quickly join Prodigy Internet, because the service uses the browser, help functions, modem settings and other assist functions that come preinstalled with Windows 95, thus greatly accelerating the enrollment process.
