Prodigy's Living Digital, the first how-to Web site for the Internet, now accessible to anyone with a browser; Revamped E-zine features daily updates, regular columnists, tons of links and tips for all levels of Web-users.


WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 29, 1996--Living Digital, the Prodigy E-zine dedicated to plugging its readers into the best of the World Wide Web, is now available on the Internet to anyone with a Web browser The program that serves as your front end to the Web on the Internet. In order to view a site, you type its address (URL) into the browser's Location field; for example, www.computerlanguage.com, and the home page of that site is downloaded to you. , at http://livingdigital.prodigy.com.

The changes to Living Digital don't simply begin and end with a conversion to HTML HTML

Living Digital features regularly scheduled, original columns from Larry Magid Larry Magid (born 1947), also known as Lawrence J. Magid, is an American journalist, technology columnist and commentator. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Los Angeles. He received his BA from Univ.  and CyberBabe. Magid, a nationally syndicated computer columnist and author, contributes a new column to Living Digital Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. CyberBabe, who devotes her exclusive weekly column to the topic of love and lust online, is actually Alli Joseph. In addition to her Living Digital column, Joseph writes for George magazine, as well as playing the part of "Lila" on the hot Web soap opera soap opera

Living Digital will also feature live programming three times a week. The Wide World of Web, hosted every Thursday at 10 p.m. (ET) by the editors of Living Digital, focuses on instructional topics, such as how to add images to one's Web site; CyberBabe hosts a forum on cyber-relationships Friday's at 10 p.m. (ET); and Larry Magid chats with celebrities from the digital world Sundays at 10 p.m. (ET). Living Digital's chat events, as well as the downloadable software libraries, are exclusive to Prodigy members.

Living Digital keeps readers plugged into the Web with a number of regular features focusing on the best in Web sites: a Site of the Day, every day; Hot Spot, which takes a look at the latest and best pages on the Web; High-Five, reviews of sites related by theme; Surfing Tips, a how-to column aimed at surfers, page designers, and anyone else who wants to get the most from the Web; and Reviews, the place for critical opinions on the latest in multimedia releases, including CD-ROMs.
