Bob most recently served as Vice President of Engineering at Sun Microsystems' Network Systems business unit. Bob has spent the last 20+ years in the data and telecommunication equipment industries. Bob's diverse professional experience primarily includes managing large R&D and product development organizations at an executive level. From 1995, at Sun, Bob was responsible for engineering of the highly successful line of carrier-grade Netra servers, from concept through sustaining. From 1991-1994, Bob held positions of Director and Vice President of Engineering at Network Equipment Technology (NET), where he managed R&D, development, and sustaining engineering (for IDNX IDNX Integrated Digital Network Exchange IDNX Integrated Data Network Exchange and ADNX ADNX Automated Digital Network Exchange ADNX Analog Digital Network Exchange families of voice/data switches, multiplexors, and network access products).
