Process aid improves color consistency.

MoldWiz INT-435PAD is a process aid additive that is said to improve color consistency and enhance throughput in the manufacture of plastic automotive parts. This additive was designed to improve dispersion dispersion, in chemistry

 the company.

In particular, MoldWiz INT-435PAD is said to have proven extremely beneficial in the processing of ASA/PC alloy (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylonitrile + polycarbonate A category of plastic materials used to make a myriad of products, including CDs and CD-ROMs. ), a key material used to make automotive parts.

Traditional production (without the additive) of exterior automotive parts is said to yield many parts exhibiting color inconsistencies, such as swirls and shadows, the result of poor color dispersion.

To remedy these problems, 0.5% (5 g per kg resin) of MoldWiz INT-435PAD is added to a masterbatch with pigment pigment, substance that imparts color to other materials. In paint, the pigment is a powdered substance which, when mixed in the liquid vehicle, imparts color to a painted surface.  and processed at 425[degrees]-464[degrees]F (220[degrees]-240[degrees]C). The masterbatch is then used in the base resin, achieving uniform color and facilitating good fill.
