), a developer of molecular techniques to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of proven anti-cancer drugs, today announced the appointment of Mildred S. Christian, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors. Her addition brings Board membership to eight.

 Laboratories, Dr. Christian, has been affiliated with Pro-Pharmaceuticals since its inception. She presently serves on the company's Scientific Advisory Board and has advised the firm on a number of business and scientific areas since its establishment in 2000.

In her role at Argus, Dr. Christian is the top executive responsible for designing, evaluating and supervising scientific studies to ensure they are in accordance with government regulations and sponsors' requirements. At Argus, a Horsham, Pa.-based firm she founded in 1979, she has monitored, supervised or participated in various phases of more than 1400 developmental, reproductive and general toxicology evaluations.

She also serves as executive director of science and compliance for Charles River Labs' Discovery and Development Services, with responsibility for scientific integrity and regulatory compliance on a corporate-wide basis.

Dr. Christian received a doctorate from Thomas Jefferson University It began as Jefferson Medical College in 1824. On July 1, 1969 the institution officially became Thomas Jefferson University.
