PrivateCommunities.com Settles Trademark Infringement Lawsuit Against R2 Marketing LLC.


VERO BEACH, Fla. -- Private Communities Registry, Inc., doing business as PrivateCommunities.com, settled its lawsuit for trademark infringement against R2 Marketing LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

According to the settlement agreement, four infringing domains were transferred to the plaintiffs and defendants are prohibited from using any trademark, domain or meta tags with the terms "Private" and Community" adjacent to one another in either singular or plural. An undisclosed monetary sum was included in the settlement.

"Competition is good for everyone, but adopting another firm's name in the hope of causing confusion in the market is a poor business tactic in any industry."
