WITH almost 1,900 students, the largest private school in the San Fernando Valley area is Desert Christian Schools, located on multiple campuses in Lancaster.

The non-denominational Christian school currently has 1,855 male and female students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade.

Desert Christian Schools employs 78 fulltime faculty members and 306 total employees. It has a student-to-teacher ratio of 27 to 1.

The cost of attending the school varies from $3,542 per year for primary school, $3,773 for middle school to $4,191 for high school.
