Private equity company relocates to Stamford.

Galen Partners, a leading private equity firm focused solely on the healthcare industry, is relocating its headquarters to Stamford from Rockefeller Center.

The firm has entered into a long term lease at 680 Washington Boulevard. Galen Partners was represented exclusively in the lease negotiations by Albert B. Ashforth. Reckson Associates as landlord represented itself.

Galen focuses on revenue stage companies with proprietary products and services in medical devices, specialty pharmaceuticals and information technology & outsourcing services.

"Galen's relocation was prompted by growth, our fifth fund offering and anticipated new hires," said David Jahns, Managing Director. "We are delighted with our new offices and being a part of the vibrant financial services sector based in Stamford." Galen anticipates relocating all of its employees to Stamford by the end of the year.
