Prince Charles to be Served Drake's Bay Oysters During Bay Area Tour of Sustainable and Organic Farming.
WHAT: The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will be
served Drake's Bay oysters at a luncheon following a visit
to the Point Reyes Farmers' Market this Saturday. The oyster
farm is the oldest and largest facility on the West Coast.
Drake's Bay Oyster Company, formally Johnson's Oyster
Company, has recently reestablished their tasty inventory
since the farm changed hands to the neighboring Lunny
family. Drake's Bay Oysters, in addition to its partner
Lunny Ranch, specialize in local sustainable farming. The
Lunny Ranch grows artichokes and certified organic and
grass-fed beef on the first certified organic pastures in
Marin County; these also will be available at the Point
Reyes Farmer's Market.

the Point Reyes Farmers' Market, Point Reyes Station, Marin
County, in order to meet with the local farming community
and organic farmers to learn more about sustainable farming
in West Marin. Prince Charles, an advocate for sustainable
agriculture, will be sharing a meal and ideas with a select
group of sustainable farmers, including Kevin Lunny from
Drake's Bay Oyster Company.
