More than 85 percent of Primitive Logic employees completed an anonymous survey to qualify for the nomination, and gave the company high rankings for attributes such as work/life balance, team and leadership building, management integrity, mutual respect between management and employees, and employee ownership. Primitive Logic's overall score was a 93.4 percent favorable rating by its employees.

The 110 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area were honored and informed of their ranking by San Francisco Business Times in an awards ceremony on April 5. There were approximately 400 companies nominated for the award. The survey results were published in the April 7, 2006 issues of the San Francisco Business Times, the East Bay Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.
