Resolution. This moves the company one step closer to a $9.5 million dollar investment in Albuquerque. Upon final IRB approval, Prime will open its new facility in northwest Albuquerque that will house the most sophisticated prescription refill equipment available. With Prime's Irving and Albuquerque facilities working at full capacity, Prime will have the ability to process up to 30 million prescriptions a year.

"Prime has nearly doubled in size in the past two years. As we continue to provide top quality service for our clients, we needed to add more mail service capacity," said Mark Ahmann, Prime's senior vice president of Operations. "We look forward to being a part of the Albuquerque community for years to come."

Prime plans to hire approximately 60 Albuquerque-based employees by first quarter 2007, with the potential to recruit more as the operation grows. Many positions will be professional roles for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. In addition to competitive salaries, the jobs will offer a wide range of benefits, including health insurance and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Prime chose Albuquerque after a nationwide search. The city was selected for several reasons, including its strong business climate, low risk for natural disasters, access to major shipping and delivery resources, and affordable cost of living. It is also in close proximity to Prime's client Blue Cross and Blue Shield Blue Shield A US not-for-profit health care insurer that is a reimbursement intermediary for physicians. Albuquerque Economic Development Chairman of the Board Carolyn Monroe said "This success is another example of what can happen when everyone pulls together. Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico have all been dedicated to winning Prime's expansion."
