(OTCBB:CEXI) announced today that Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah has purchased a ValiMed Medication Validation System to perform end product testing of compounded intravenous medications in its pharmacy, and validation of returned narcotics from the operating room suites and nursing units. The ValiMed Medication Validation System, developed by CDEX and distributed exclusively by Baxa Corporation, provides clinicians with a quick, cost effective, and simple tool to further ensure medication safety by verifying medications are correctly compounded.

In a process that takes only seconds, ValiMed uses patent pending technology to validate compounded doses of high-risk medications prior to dispensing to the patient care area. The solution creates an added level of safety in the medication dispensing process, and is also used to validate narcotic returns as well as identify counterfeit medications.
