Primagraphics Enhances Radar Display Software With SevenCs ECDIS Kernel.

CAMBRIDGE, England & HAMBURG, Germany -- Primagraphics (www.primagraphics.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc., and a leading supplier of radar video and graphics display systems for military and civil applications, has enhanced its Metroview radar display software with technology from SevenCs (www.sevencs.com), a world leader in Electronic Chart and Display Information System (ECDIS) software.

By utilising SevenCs' EC2007 ECDIS Kernel software development kit (SDK), users of Primagraphics Metroview software will now be able to import sophisticated electronic navigational maps and charts - available off-the-shelf from the hydrographic offices of maritime nations - and display them alongside radar data and target overlays.

SevenCs' EC2007 ECDIS Kernel is a software module that contains the basic functions to read, display and modify digital charts, to perform navigational calculations and to read navigational sensor data. The EC2007 kernel is employed by over twenty navigational equipment manufacturers to build ECDIS vessel traffic management systems, tactical consoles and integrated bridges.

Primagraphics Metroview radar display system is a complete PC-based system that integrates the display of primary radar data with an intuitive man machine interface supporting multi-layered maps, overlays and display controls. The Metroview software is integrated with Primagraphics' range of radar acquisition and scan-conversion hardware to provide a complete display solution for radar consoles.
