PrimaCom Strengthens Its Market Position in Germany 15,900 New Customers Acquired - Co-Operation With RTL.

PrimaCom AG (Neuer Markt Frankfurt, "PRC"/ID No. 625910; Nasdaq: PCAG PCAG Performance Confidence Assessment Group ) announced today that it has further expanded its customer base through the acquisition of three cable operators, Tele-Kommunikationsgesellschaft mbH Eisenhuttenstadt, Grossgemeinschafts-Antennenanlagen Lizenz- und Betriebs GmbH, and Telekommunikations GmbH Kirchheimbolanden.  Heidenau, to 100 percent. The transactions combine to increase the Company's subscriber base by approximately 15,900. PrimaCom now has slightly over 1,000,000 customers in Germany and 300,000 in Holland.

By acquiring a 51% stake in Tele-Kommunikationsgesellschaft mbH Eisenhuttenstadt, PrimaCom has gained approximately 10,000 additional customers. The city council approved the acquisition by a large majority when it met on January 24, 2001. Only the municipal supervisory office still needs to give its approval. This transaction will enable PrimaCom to provide the whole of Eisenhuttenstadt with cable television (approximately 17,000 connected customers altogether). In the key area of Berlin/Brandenburg, PrimaCom now has about 170,000 subscribers.

The purchase of Hanover-based Grossgemeinschafts-Antennenanlagen Lizenz-und Betriebs GmbH, which has approximately 4,200 subscribers, provides PrimaCom with a stronger foothold in Lower Saxony Lower Saxony, Ger. Niedersachsen (nē`dərsäk'sən), state (1994 pop. 7,480,000), 18,295 sq mi (47,384 sq km), NW Germany. Hanover is the capital. . The acquisition of Telekommunikations GmbH Kirchheimbolanden in Rhineland-Palatinate provides PrimaCom with an additional 1,700 customers, bringing the Company's total subscribers in this key region to approximately 130,000.

PrimaCom also continued to strengthen its market position in the greater Dresden area. Effective January 1, 2001, the Company has increased its stake in PKG Heidenau from 80% to 100%. PKG Heidenau has approximately 3,200 subscribers.

In addition, as previously reported, PrimaCom recently agreed to a new provisional agreement with RTL (Register Transfer Level) A high-level hardware description language (HDL) for defining digital circuits.
