A leader in Russia's contemporary dance scene, Olga Pona brings her troupe from Ghelyabinsk to the U.S., stopping at American Dance Festival The American Dance Festival is a six-week summer festival of modern dance performances, and a school for dance currently held at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.  (June 14-16) and the International Festival of Arts and Ideas The International Festival of Arts and Ideas takes place on the New Haven Green (in New Haven, Connecticut) every summer for fifteen days in mid-June. Most of the free events on The Green  in New Haven, CT (June 20-22). Her new piece, The Other Side of the River, makes funny and poignant use of wheeling tables, steaming irons, cigarettes, and a bandoneon ban·do·ne·on
