AIM TRANSDUCERS

Melt pressure transducers/transmitters feature nonmercury transfer medium and ceramic impregnated diaphragm. TFH high-accuracy transducers are for critical measurements. TFO standard transducers are for general-purpose measurements. TFJ transducers have temperature sensor (thermocouple, RTD) output. Complete line of discrete signal-loop controllers and system products for pressure control and monitoring. New Extrusion Master 3 (EM-3) pressure controller for complex extrusion simplifies start-up and shutdown process. Desired speeds and pressures are entered and the control system automatically performs the process.

FLO-TECH DIV. RACINE FEDERATED INC.

Offers digital-readout pressure indicators and sensors. Series F6700 and F6750 digital displays accept 4-20 mA signal from their series F6301 pressure sensors. The five-digit displays can be scaled to most engineering units and are easily programmed using front-panel buttons or available programming software. For specific requirements each display accepts up to three optional plug-in cards that offer a choice of analog outputs, digital communications and set-point alarms.

F6301 pressure sensors designed for high signal output are unaffected by shock, vibration or mounting position. Units provide long-term stability and repeatability and are available in a wide range of pressures.

High-pressure-rated RTD thermometer probes are precision platinum units with maximum temperature rating of 300 F and maximum pressure rating of 7500 psi. Can be inserted directly into hydraulic or fluid material stream and offer 3-sec response. The 1/8-NPT body threads eliminate need for special fittings and come in insertion lengths from 1 to 3.5 in.

DTM-100 panel-mount temperature readout offers 3/4-in. LCD display visible in ambient lighting. A high-impact plastic case mount is 1/4-DIN. Standard 0-10 v recorder output available at rear terminals. Unit can be wired for 120 or 240 v, 50 or 60 Hz without internal modification.

Line of melt-pressure transducers features all-welded stainless-steel housing and a hard-faced chrome-plated measuring diaphragm on an all-stainless-steel stem for protection from abrasive and adhesive effects of the melt. These bonded strain gate units are offered in pressure ranges from 0500 through 0-20,000 psig. Also featured are an integral calibration signal, choice of 0.5% FSO or 1.0% FSO accuracies for maximum economy, and variety of stem and capillary tubing lengths.

Microprocessor-based pressure controllers for extrusion aid throughput stabilization by closed-loop feedback control of pressure at the die. The plug-in 1/4-DIN modules feature large LED readout, plus separate LCD display to allow calibration and mode changes. Single-channel and differential-pressure control forms available. Differential-pressure control is useful with melt pumps to increase metering accuracy and control continuous screen changers.

KISTLER INSTRUMENT CORP.

Flush-mount piezoelectric quartz transducer for measuring cavity pressure in injection molding. Unit's 1-mm in-cavity sensor is said to be the smallest of its kind. Unisens 4-mm sensor offers uniform sensitivity between sensors, allowing mold changeovers without recalibrating. Direct and indirect measuring systems available. Behind-the-pin sensors match strain gauge dimensions and pricing. Single-wire conductors replace conventional coaxial cables on several units.

SP series melt-pressure transducers feature low-volume capillary system to ensure thermal stability, while minimizing risk of process-fluid contamination.
