FRANKLIN, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2002

President George W. Bush has appointed Harriet B. Rotter to serve on the President's Advisory Committee on the Arts (PACA) of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the name by which it is known, (or, as named on the building itself, the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts but, locally called the The Kennedy Center . Ms. Rotter, a Family and Matrimonial Law Attorney practicing in Franklin, MI, is one of nine national appointees to the position this year, and the only one from Michigan.

The Kennedy Center has the unique mission to serve as the National Center for the Performing Arts for the Washington, DC, area, as well as the entire country. This year is the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Kennedy Center Honors The Kennedy Center Honors are held to be the highlight event in the cultural life of the United States. The idea was the brainchild of George Stevens, Jr. (who remains involved), and he and his partner, the late Nick Vanoff, put together the first event, launching it in 1978. . In addition, the Kennedy Center will begin an exclusive five-year engagement of the royal Shakespeare Company Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), a British repertory theater. The company, established in 1960, was based on the earlier Shakespeare Memorial Theatre at Stratford-on-Avon. It is a national theater supported by government funds. , the ten-year residency of the Kirov Opera and Ballet, and the ongoing residency of one of our country's premier orchestras, the national symphony Orchestra National Symphony Orchestra is used for the name of many orchestras in different countries. It may refer to the:
  • Danish National Symphony Orchestra, founded 1925
  • Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, which can trace its origins back to 1926
 under the direction of Maestro Leonard Slatkin.

Harriet B. Rotter, a former Assistant Prosecuting Attorney of Oakland County, and former legal advisor to WXYZ-TV 7, has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Board of Trustees board of trustees Politics The posse of thugs who oversee an institution's administration.
