President Bakiev suggests changing government structure, setting up presidium.

President Kurmanbek Bakiev suggested making changes in structure of the government during a working meeting of the government members on Monday.The President said he decided to make this suggestion as a result of late reaction of the government to economic threats. "After listening to you, there is an impression that everything is fine, but you are late," President Bakiev told Prime Minister Igor Chudinov.With view of the trends in the world, it is required to make changes in draft laws during 2-3 days, the President said. "It takes months to do so for you," President Bakiev told Ministers.The Parliament also should adopt laws quickly if necessary. "Only then one can say about successful work of the government," Kurmanbek Bakiev added.In connection with this, Kurmanbek Bakiev suggested setting up presidium of the government comprised of financial and economic agencies that will be able to make decisions quickly. The President told Prime Minister Chudinov: "The Government together with the President's Administration needs to submit a proposal on setting up the Presidium of the Government in the nearest time, which will be able to make decisions on behalf of the Government. Do not protract this issue," Kurmanbek Bakiev demanded.
