We plan to pick up where they left off and move forward with these important training opportunities. Since these Webcasts were well received, a second series is being developed. The topic for the upcoming Webcasts is Six Sigma Not to be confused with Sigma 6. Six Sigma is a set of practices originally developed by Motorola to systematically improve processes by eliminating defects.[1] A defect is defined as nonconformity of a product or service to its specifications. and will begin September 8th. We're excited to take on new challenges that will not only strengthen PIMA, but will be a benefit to the paper industry as a whole. Another valuable program that is getting off the ground as this change takes place is PIMA OnDemand. PIMA OnDemand is a series of web-based learning modules designed to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! This gives you the opportunity to customize your learning experience to fit your schedule. Registration for the first eight modules is now available online at www.pimaweb.org. The topic for the first series is Systematic Leadership: Improving Performance. We want to be sure PIMA is providing the industry, not only with the training it needs, but when and how it needs it. This is no easy task. To properly implement worthwhile programs, we are getting input from divisions and conducting surveys and focus groups.
