President's message: what a year!

2011 was another year of "first's" for our organization:

* Our largest Annual Conference ever

* Three Webinars

* More active members reaching out to be a part of committees

* Nurse clinician and informatics representation at the Medical Device Alarms Summit

* Ability to sponsor the NI2012 conference

* Great progress towards an association management agreement

Needless to say it has been a busy year for the Board of Directors creating this successful year for our membership. I thank you, our members, for your contributions with webinars, many interesting e-list contributions, attendance at the annual conference, participation in regional events, as well as lively and on-going dialogue with Board members.

The New Year will find our organization planning for a new round of webinars, the best Annual Conference yet, and discussion of a new organizational logo. We will continue planning and hope to sign our first association management agreement which will allow the Board to concentrate on strategic planning with the day-to-day organizational operations in capable hands, and best yet, continued interaction, sharing and education with each other.

Please continue contact me, or any Board member, with your ideas and/or interest in joining or forming a committee that leads ANIA-CARING members forward. Remember, this is our organization - let's make it better than ever together!

Wishing you a happy, healthy holiday season, and all of us an exciting 2012!
