President's Message.

It has been a tremendous honor to serve as your president in 2001 and I am looking forward to meeting you once again at our great January convention.

It has been a great year for college football. The events of September 11 were horrific, but football has played a large part in the healing process. It's now time to recharge and discuss the important issues that affect our game in San Antonio San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837. .

The American Football Coaches Association The American Football Coaches Association is an association of football coaches on all levels and is responsible for the Coaches Poll that determines the national champion each year.  Convention gives all of us a chance to reflect on our game and our contribution to it. Grant Teaff Grant Teaff (born November 12, 1933 in Hermleigh, Texas) is a retired American Football coach, most well-known for his time as the greatest coach Baylor University in Waco, Texas ever had. In 2001, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.  and his staff at the AFCA AFCA American Football Coaches Association

have done another super job planning our program. Their 2002 schedule features an outstanding slate of speakers covering a wide range of topics that can help all of us personally and professionally.

We should be thankful for the time and effort the AFCA staff puts in each year on our behalf. The convention is the flagship event for our Association. It caps off the college football season by giving us the opportunity to learn and improve and, at the same time, see old friends and enjoy their fellowship.

Once again, I would like to thank Grant and his staff for all they do for the AFCA and to thank the Board of Trustees board of trustees Politics The posse of thugs who oversee an institution's administration. See you in San Antonio.

Best Personal Regards,

Joseph Taylor
