The test results proved that the MM 818 technology passed eight American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM ASTM abbr. American Society for Testing and Materials ) tests for a functional powder coating. One of the most important tests was the Adhesion test to determine if the MM 818 technology had any negative effect on paint adhesion. MM 818 passed two ASTM adhesion tests. The first was ASTM D3359 which measures adhesion with tape. The second successful adhesion test was ASTM D4541 which is the pull off strength for adhesion.
