Conference Vision Statement To position camp professionals for the future through inspiring presentations and challenging discussions of emerging trends, vital issues, and visionary thinking.

How does camp create a sense of community and help campers and staff contribute to this community? Teamwork, belonging, assuming responsibility, and respect for others are all part of intentional community intentional community

A small, localized, often rural community of persons or families pursuing common interests or concentrating on certain basic values.

Session Content

Your session should be consistent with the theme for this year's conference and with the conference vision statement. It should include information that:

* is relevant and practical

* gives opportunities for information exchange and problem solving problem solving

Process involved in finding a solution to a problem. Many animals routinely solve problems of locomotion, food finding, and shelter through trial and error.

Presentation Lengths

* 1 1/4-hour interest sessions

* 2 1/2-hour workshops

Target Audience

ACA conference attendees include camp owners and directors, key administrative staff, and key program and support staff working in day camps, resident camps, and conference centers. The audience ranges from new part-time practitioners to individuals with more than twenty years TWENTY YEARS. The lapse of twenty years raises a presumption of certain facts, and after such a time, the party against whom the presumption has been raised, will be required to prove a negative to establish his rights.

Submission Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated on the relevance the topic has to the "Community" theme and the target audience. Our goal is to design an overall balanced program with sessions emphasizing community relating to relating to relate prepconcernant

All proposals must be submitted on a "Call for Presentations" form, which will be available in mid-January on ACA's Web site: www.ACAcamps.org. You may also contact Marilyn Allison at 765-342-8456, ext. 328, or send an e-mail request to 2004cfp@ACAcamps.org for a printed form.

The deadline for submission is March 28, 2003.
