Premier and Bankers Trust to develop asset management data warehouse and retrieval application.

MALVERN, Pa. and NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 1995--Premier Solutions Ltd. and Bankers Trust Financial Services Information Systems (BT FSIS) Corp., the software subsidiary of Bankers Trust Co., Tuesday announced the planned development of a new asset management data warehouse and information retrieval application.

The new products will provide banks, investment advisors, insurance firms and other institutional investors with access to information from various asset management and accounting systems through one integrated platform.

Premier will develop the new products in association with Bankers Trust, whose BT-World data delivery workstation has set industry standards in recent years.

It brings together Premier's industry background and technical expertise in developing its GLOBAL-PLUS(R) and MAXIMIS(R) asset management systems with Bankers Trust's extensive industry knowledge and product expertise gained in the development of BT-World.

The BT-World data delivery workstation will serve as the prototype for a new data delivery platform, based on an open architecture. The new product will support information retrieval, statement data and download capabilities on several client/server platforms and will accept data from multiple asset management and accounting systems.

Premier will development both an information retrieval application called InfoHarbour, connected to a standalone asset management data warehouse called DataHarbour.

InfoHarbour will provide access to this information through a Microsoft Windows-based graphical user interface. Historical data and audited statement data are planned for availability. End-users will be able to devise ad hoc reports and request immediate production of the report or schedule it for an after-hours download to their personal computer.

The DataHarbour warehouse will support consolidated information across multiple accounts and portfolios from asset management, securities lending and performance measurement systems. DataHarbour will store information directly from these systems in a relational database available on several different hardware platforms. Information can be refreshed nightly or periodically during the day.

Prior to the release of the InfoHarbour and DataHarbour products, Premier will market the existing BT-World workstation. InfoHarbour and DataHarbour are planned for general availability in the second quarter 1996.
