Pregnant, naked ..and proud of it; MUMS-TO-BE BARE ALL.

Byline: By GAYLE RITCHIE

THESE three mums-to-be decided to celebrate their baby bumps by doing a Demi.

Actress Demi Moore famously posed nude while pregnant on the cover of Vanity Fair in 1991.

And Perth-based Risque Boudoir photography are helping women follow in her footsteps.

Bone Hunters star Julie Hale, 37, of Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, is expecting her second baby. She wanted to celebrate her bump as she had to keep her first pregnancy under wraps while filming Irish soap Fair City, in which she plays Terry Deegan.

First-time mums Mary Spence and Susan Buckley want to change negative attitudes to pregnant women and inspire others to celebrate their curves. Beauty therapist Mary, 29, of Johnstone, said: "I felt entirely at ease."

And hairdresser Susan, 25, of Clydebank, added: "I was nervous but it was lovely to be pampered."

JULIE'S STORY

THE shots made me feel gorgeous - that's rare when you're weeks away from giving birth.

My first baby bump was never celebrated. I was acting until I was eight months pregnant and the film crew hid my bump. I felt guilty about that and really wanted to record this pregnancy. I don't even have photos of me as a baby.

My partner Jimmy loves the shots too.

I'd advise anyone to do it. Together we can show that pregnant women can look and feel amazing.

SUSAN'S STORY

WOMEN are under so much pressure to be ultra slim, I thought it would make a change to celebrate real curves.

It's beautiful to see a pregnant body with a baby forming inside and as this is my first baby it made it a particularly special experience. I was seven months pregnant and getting my hair and make-up done was great. My partner Nick loved the idea too.

I hope I've inspired more people to go ahead and embrace their true femininity.

MARY'S STORY

PEOPLE associate being pregnant with feeling ill and looking frumpy and ugly but I wanted to show it's not like that at all and that there is nothing to be ashamed of.

The last thing most pregnant women want to do is get all glammed up and have their pictures taken but I honestly had a fabulous time.

I hope this helps break the perception that all pregnant women are fat, tired, unsexy and unmotivated because none of these things were part of my experience.

At eight-and-a-half months pregnant I was oozing with confidence. The nude shots are artistic and classy.

My partner Darren was paranoid that there would be loads of sleazy guys drooling over me but it wasn't like that at all.

We both agree it's been very tastefully done.

We've now had a girl, Soffi, and I'll love showing her them when she's older.
