Precision Systems announces appointment of new chairman.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 19, 1996--Precision Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:PSYS;BSE:PNS) Wednesday announced that its board of directors has elected Richard T. Liebhaber as chairman.

He replaces John D. Loewenberg, who did not stand for reelection at the company's recent shareholders' meeting. The appointment is effective immediately.

Dick Liebhaber, 60, is a pioneer in telecommunications and on-line services. Before his recent retirement from MCI Communications he served as MCI's Chief Strategy and Technology officer, as a member of MCI's Management Committee, and as a member of MCI's board of directors. During his tenure at MCI Liebhaber was responsible for 13,000 MCI employees, its network, services, business development, and customer satisfaction, and was a primary architect of MCI's relationships with British Telecom, Telecom U.S.A., and Banacci.

At one time during his long tenure in computing and telecommunications, Liebhaber served as IBM's director of Business Policy and Development and represented IBM on the executive committee of what eventually became Prodigy, the on-line service, for which he served as chairman for six years. He also was a senior executive at SBS (Satellite Business Systems), a joint venture company owned by IBM, Aetna, and COMSAT, and negotiated SBS's eventual sale to MCI. In addition to his service on Precision Systems' board of directors, Liebhaber serves on the boards of Geotek Communications, Alcatel Network Systems U.S., Objective Communications Co., and Scholz Design Inc.

Liebhaber also serves as vice chairman of the board of the Washington Performing Arts Society and is a member of the board of directors of the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Steering Committee for the National Information Infrastructure serving the Computer and Telecommunications Board of the National Research Council, and he also is a member of the Federal Networking Council Advisory Commission.
