Precision Standard unit names new president and general manager.


BIRMINGHAM, Al.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 10, 1995--Matthew L. Gold, chairman and chief executive officer of Precision Standard Inc. (NASDAQ-PCSN) announced today that John Zubeckis has been named president and general manager of the company's Pemco Aeroplex subsidiary in Birmingham, Alabama Birmingham (pronounced [ˈbɝmɪŋˌhæm]) is the largest city in the U.S. state of Alabama and is the county seat of Jefferson County. .

Zubeckis joins Pemco after thirty years with Pratt & Whitney where he served most recently as general manager for Overhaul and Repair. His experience includes a succession of successful assignments in manufacturing, process engineering and general management. He has also worked closely with the Government's Defense Plant Representative Office (DPRO DPRO District Public Relations Office

) while at Pratt and was responsible for that company's early implementation of the Government's PROCAS PROCAS Process Oriented Contract Administration Services  process improvement initiative.

Zubeckis holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from the University of Hartford and is fluent fluent /flu·ent/ (floo´int) flowing effortlessly; said of speech.  in several languages.
