Precision Castparts Corp. expands investment casting capabilities with purchase of GSC Foundries.


Precision Castparts Corp., Portland, Ore., has agreed to acquire GSC GSC gas-solid chromatography.  Foundries Inc., Ogden, Utah Ogden is the county seat of Weber County,GR6 Utah, United States. A 2006 estimate placed its population at 78,086. The city served as a major railway hub through much of its history, and still handles a great deal of freight rail traffic which makes it a , and related real property. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

GSC, a privately held company privately held company

A firm whose shares are held within a relatively small circle of owners and are not traded publicly.
 with operations in Ogden and Saltillo, Mexico, is a manufacturer of aluminum and steel structural investment castings for aerospace, energy, medical and other end markets. The company employs approximately 375 people at its two facilities.

"GSC will enhance our small structural investment casting portfolio," said Mark Donegan, chairman and chief executive officer of Precision Castparts. "The company will complement our existing aluminum casting operations in Tilton and Franklin, New Hampshire Franklin is a city in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, United States. As of the 2000 census, the population was 8,405, the lowest of any of New Hampshire's 13 cities. Franklin includes the village of West Franklin. ."

Precision Castparts serves the aerospace, power generation, automotive, general industrial and other markets.

Subject to regulatory approvals, including Hart-Scott-Rodino, the acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2007. Precision Castparts will finance the acquisition with cash on hand and its existing credit facilities credit facilities nplfacilidades fpl de crédito
