Pre-measured pelletized performance additives.

Pelletized performance additives (PPAs) have been introduced as another solution for a healthier workplace and convenient dispersion dispersion, in chemistry

. Along with the company's PolyAid pre-measured performance additives (PMPAs), which use in-batch inclusion (dispersible) bags to protect workers, the addition of the PPAs is said to provide two solutions that can address important industry concerns.

the company. Workers in the rubber and polymer industries are said to be at risk of exposure to inhalable particles often referred to as process dust. Process dust contains airborne particulates arising in manufacturing stages where many powder form materials are handled, weighed, added to or mixed. There is also said to be the risk of explosion when process dusts of some materials are exposed to air.

To help prevent both the risk from the adverse health effects and the explosive potential associated with process dust in the workplace environment, the company offers customers the choice of having many PolyAid products converted from powder into pellets of varying mesh sizes and/or shapes.
