Praxair to Build Hydrogen Facility at the Chevron Richmond Refinery.

: PX) has finalized an agreement with Chevron Products Company to build a hydrogen facility at the Chevron Richmond Refinery in Contra Costa Contra Costa can refer to:

 County, Calif., that is expected to be completed by fall of 2008. The new facility, operated by Praxair, will supply hydrogen to Chevron's Richmond Refinery over a 15-year period.

Praxair plans to build the hydrogen facility to produce a capacity of 260 million cubic feet of hydrogen per day. The new facility will utilize technology from Lurgi, a leading global supplier of reformer and hydrogen supply equipment. Praxair will also construct a pipeline network to supply hydrogen to other refineries in the northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. The region contains the San Francisco Bay Area, the state capital, Sacramento; as well as the substantial natural beauty of the redwood forests, the northern  area.
