Pratt & Whitney Canada Singapore Facility Designated a Centre of Excellence for Auxiliary Power Units - APU.

Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) is pleased to announce that its Singapore Service Centre has been designated as a Centre of Excellence for auxiliary power units (APUs). The facility offers a comprehensive range of repair and overhaul services for the PW901A and Hamilton Sundstrand Hamilton Sundstrand, is a global corporation that manufactuers and supports aerospace and industrial products for worldwide markets. It was formed from the merger of Hamilton Standard and Sundstrand Corporation in 1999.  APS3200 APUs used on the Airbus 319/320 and 321 aircraft families.

P&WC established a presence in Singapore in 1983 to support P&WC engine customers throughout the Asia-Pacific region. In 1996, the Singapore Service Centre was opened to offer PW100 engine repair and overhaul services.

The facility's range of services has since been significantly expanded. In addition to PW100 and APU repair and overhaul, these services include: Hot Section Inspections (HSI's) for PT6 engines (including twin pacs(R)), PW150A, JT15D and PW200 engines; individual component repairs; fuel nozzles cleaning, testing, overhaul and exchange; engine leasing, exchange and sales; spare parts Spare parts, also referred to as Service Parts is a term used to indicate extra parts available and in proximity to the mechanical item, such as a automobile, boat, engine, for which they might be used.
