Praise for Lip a new deal course.

A COURSE for unemployed musicians at Sir Paul McCartney's fame school has struck the right chord with government inspectors.

The New Deal for Musicians scheme at Liverpool institute for performing arts has been inspected by the Adult Learning Inspectorate.

A report issued today says young people taking the course achieve very good professional standards and demonstrate good creative skills.

The report said: ``By the end of their programme they have the necessary confidence to promote themselves effectively within the music business.''

Lipa uses Music Open Learning Providers who are experts from the music industry and act as mentors to the young people to teach them all about the business and offer practical advice to get them started.
