Eager to build a specialty hospital to serve a specific patient population in his area, the doctor tried unsuccessfully to obtain a certificate, of need. Faced with that obstacle, the physician called ACPE for advice. When College staff put the doctor's questions to the member experts who lead the ACPE online Forums, helping hands were extended around the country. Vigorous discussion ensued. Physicians leading hospitals weighed in with their perspectives. Other physician executives contributed their ideas, too.
