PowerDsine's PoE Midspan solution is an intelligent PoE injector installed between an Ethernet switch and end-devices, such as VoIP phones, wireless LAN access points and IP surveillance cameras. The PowerDsine PoE Midspans increase enterprise network productivity by leveraging existing network infrastructure and eliminating the need to replace legacy Ethernet switches. PoE Midspans minimize installation costs and reduce deployment times associated with roll-outs of IP telephony systems, wireless LANs and IP-based surveillance systems.

In addition, PowerDsine PoE Midspans, which are compliant with the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, New York, www.ieee.org) A membership organization that includes engineers, scientists and students in electronics and allied fields.  802.3af PoE standard, support Web-based remote management and are available in one-, six-, 12-, 24- and 48-port versions to accommodate the needs of all enterprise environments.

About Power over Ethernet Technology

PoE is a technology for wired Ethernet, the most widely installed local area network technology in use today. PoE allows the electrical power necessary for the operation of each end-device to be carried by data cables rather than by separate power cords. It minimizes the number of wires that must be used in order to install the network, resulting in lower cost, less downtime, easier maintenance and greater installation flexibility.
