PowerCerv Announces Availability of E-business Solutions; New e-business Applications Web-enable CRM, Order Management and Business Intelligence.
TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 2000
PowerCerv Corporation (Nasdaq:PCRV) today announced the general availability of three new e-business components of the PowerCerv eSeries - eCRM, eOrder and eDashboard. Each component Web-enables core enterprise operations such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), order management and business intelligence, respectively.
"Truly successful e-business requires collaboration. To compete and win on the Web, companies must open their enterprises and share information with their customers, suppliers and partners around the world," said Marc Fratello, PowerCerv's chief executive officer. "eCRM, eOrder and eDashboard are self-service applications that help companies touch their virtual supply chains in a variety of methods. These new applications deliver benefits to online customers by increasing the number of touch-points and adding value via the Web.
"Also, our customers achieve the unique benefit of e-business solutions that are developed to integrate seamlessly into existing PowerCerv applications. The result, one tightly integrated system from one vendor that links critical front-office and back-office information to the world via the Web - while providing an easier implementation and lower cost of ownership," Fratello said.
eCRM, eOrder and eDashboard address key business operations for companies engaging in e-commerce. Accessible via the Web and any common browser, each component is integrated with the ERP Plus(TM) software suite to provide Web access to critical enterprise information, which supports PowerCerv Integrated Enterprise Response.
Integrated Enterprise Response enables companies to extend their enterprise operations across the virtual supply chain and to successfully respond to customers, suppliers, partners and employees around the world 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
"Today, supply chain-managed inventory, not just vendor-managed inventory, is imperative - it's the key to real e-business success," Fratello said. "eSeries enables true e-commerce by delivering information and enabling collaboration across the virtual supply chain - eliminating boundaries of time and distance."
eCRM allows companies to initiate business-to-business (B2B) CRM activities such as lead capture, campaign management, case entry, case diagnostics and case tracking via the Web.
With eCRM, companies enable their customers to request information via a Web site - creating an immediate sales lead with complete customer information that is automatically captured and passed to sales personnel. Companies also can setup self-service capabilities at their Web sites and allow their customers to go online to search diagnostic data and find information they need - on their own time, regardless of office hours. With eCRM, companies and their authorized customers can view existing cases, create new case requests and track cases through to closure.
eOrder delivers extensive online B2B order taking and processing capabilities. It enables users to access the Web to create and enter sales orders and quotes using the shopping cart tool, view customer-specific pricing information, and retrieve tax and freight costs.
Additional eOrder features include automatic transmission of sales order acknowledgements via e-mail or fax, credit card processing capabilities, and Web-based revenue reporting functionality. Security measures also are included, allowing companies to view and enter orders and information for all customers while their customers may only enter orders and view data for their specific companies.
Building on functionality in PowerCerv's business intelligence tool, PowerCerv Intelligence(TM), eDashboard delivers critical business performance and status information to executive-level personnel via the Web. Executives can logon to the Web via any common browser and access eDashboard's status reports and graphical views of key business indicators including customer service, financials, operations and sales and marketing.
All reports feature intuitive graphical presentations with powerful filtering and online analytical capabilities. Drill-anywhere capabilities allow users to access high-level overview charts and graphs and then click on particular portions of those reports to drill into more specific detail. eDashboard also provides pivot tables for additional data analysis capabilities. These tables can be exported and saved for further analysis using Microsoft(R) Excel(R) spreadsheets.
