Medical Technology, Inc. (MTI) introduces the first in a series of power surgery tables designed for surgery center and office procedures. The 430 quad-power surgery and treatment chair/table can be positioned from an upright chair position to contoured and then flat. It is powered by low-voltage (24-volt) DC motors, which are quieter, safer, more powerful, less complicated, and more reliable than standard high-voltage motors. The chair plugs into a standard electrical outlet.

The 430 is well suited for ENT and facial cosmetic surgeries, with a tapered back design for the doctor, and features an electrical lockout, to guard against influence by outside electromagnetic and radiofrequency interference; auto return; and a coded lockout that prevents unauthorized operation of the chair.

Integrated accessories are available: swivel and mobile bases, specialty headrests, post-mounted tray and light assemblies, visual curtain blocks, and rail-mounted and removable GYN stirrups for specialty sharing of the table.

The 430 can lift patients weighing more than 500 lbs, and the 300-lb rating of the foot rest provides increased safety in the event a patient accidentally sits on the foot section.
