PMG to Provide Support Across the Country at U.S. Coast Guard

Potomac Management Group, Inc. (PMG) a leading provider of technical and management support services to the Federal Government announced today that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center has awarded PMG a contract to provide Administrative and Technical Support Services for the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Licensing and Documentation Program. PMG has provided similar services to the USCG on a continuing basis for the past several years. PMG was awarded this contract under a GSA MOBIS schedule competitive procurement. This contract has an estimated value of $21 million covering a one-year base period and four option years.

Under this contract, PMG will provide important security services in the evaluation and screening applicants for Merchant Mariner Documents (MMDs). MMDs are official forms of identification that can be used to gain access to critical port and vessel facilities around the United States. The security requirements to obtain MMDs have significantly increased, and are important in the support of maritime commerce and wartime readiness. This contract requires PMG to ensure that applications are properly screened through the vetting process established by the U.S. Coast Guard.
