Fourth Shipment of Previously Announced Five-Unit PET Scanner Order

Positron Corporation (OTCBB:POSC) announced today that it has shipped a Positron mPower HZL(TM) positron emission tomography (PET) scanner to Nishidai Clinic (Diagnostic Imaging Center) in Tokyo. This system sale is the fourth of a previously announced five-unit scanner order sold through its exclusive distributor, Ktec Corporation, in Japan and will be recorded in the Company's first quarter 2002 financial results.

Dr. Kimiichi Uno, director of the clinic, stated, "Nishidai Clinic is very pleased to receive its fourth Positron-HZL scanner.
