We need to look to Jesus for our example and stop expecting politicians, sports stars, and movie stars to act like God. They are not perfect. Rather than using the issue of abortion to find yet one more thing wrong with someone, I think we must look at the causes of abortion and fight those issues so women never "choose" to destroy a life. I believe that if there were as much money behind figuring out and addressing those issues as there is in the prolife and pro-choice movements, there would not be a need for either movement. Finally, we need to be prolife where it counts--in our checkbooks. We must put our money where our mouth is and be willing to pay taxes to support children who are not being cared for by their parents--no matter what the reason. If we say, "You must have this child," then we also must say, "And I am willing to pay higher taxes to ensure these children will not have to go without what they need." I don't see how you can force a child into the world and then turn your back on the child because you need yet another tax cut!
