Itronix, Inc. concluded its extensive search for mobile connectivity solutions today through an agreement with Portsmith, Inc., a leading manufacturer of mobile connectivity solutions.

Under the agreement, Itronix will sell and support Portsmith Port Replicators as their only company-endorsed mobile connectivity solution.

Itronix is a leading manufacturer of ruggedized notebooks and handhelds for data collection and mobile workforce environments. They will utilize Portsmith's Universal Port Replicator An earlier port replicator that worked with any laptop computer. It connected via a PC Card rather than a proprietary plug and socket. Such a device had a limited market as laptops became thoroughly equipped with large screens and extra ports for desktop use.  solution for the company's new GoBook, which is designed for field supervisors and other mobile professionals. After testing various other manufacturers' solutions, Itronix selected Portsmith's port replicator line based on compatibility, quality levels and support.
