The Magic then defeated Oak Harbor, Wash., 54-52, and the Puget Sound Flight, 38-24. Torgerson had 16 points, Kayla Rauschert 11 and Allison Gida 10 in the Magic's win over Oak Harbor, and Rauschert scored 11 points against Puget Sound.

The Magic face the Northern California Lady Hurricanes from Sacramento at 10:20 a.m. today in the final four of the All-Star Division.

Thurston goes 1-1 on tourney's first day

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Thurston girls summer basketball team went 1-1 on the opening day of pool play at the Lake Tahoe Basketball Jamboree on Thursday.

Whitney Hughes and Elise Nelson had 12 points each as the Colts defeated Antioch (Calif.) 51-39 in the first game.

South Lake Tahoe beat Thurston in Game 2, 41-39 in sudden-death overtime. Nelson scored 13 points and Natalie Smith had 12.

BOISE - The Eugene Bi-Mart Challengers went 1-1 in pool play Thursday at the Summer Slam Tournament, falling 6-5 to the Boise Seminoles and defeating the Nampa Chiefs 9-7.

Travis Rooke-Ley earned the win in Game 2 for the Challengers (24-16), and Dan Winterstein picked up the save. Mike Dickman was 2-for-3 with two doubles, and Marcus Lindsey had a double and an RBI.
