Poplar edge in.

THE STOCKINGFORD AA Invitation Charity Cup's 40th anniversary final will be an all Coventry District League affair with Poplar Athletic tackling Jaguar at the Pavlion on Sunday May 10 (6pm).

Poplar had to battle hard to overcome Haunchwood Sports 2-1 in Sunday's second semi final after falling behind in the 53rd minute when Jonna Aucott gave them a deserved 53rd minute lead as he coolly rounded the keeper to slot into an empty net.

Mitchel Piggon twice failed to make the most of clear-cut openings to make it 2-0 and Poplar punished their rivals as Seymour Lewis and Danny Ford pounced in the final 13 minutes..
