The Volkswagen Type 1, more commonly known as the Beetle
. He recently received one as a gift from delegates of Volkswagen de Mexico in Puebla, the company that manufactured the iconic "Bug" for decades after European production halted.

 received is actually the very last one that rolled off the Puebla assembly line. It was completed on July 30, 2003 and marked the end of the classic Beetle. (Volkswagen now produces an updated Beetle.)

The delegates from the Puebla plant told Zenit News Service that the gift was in gratitude for the pope's canonization canonization (kăn'ənĭzā`shən), in the Roman Catholic Church, process by which a person is classified as a saint. At press time, there was no news on what the pope will do with the vehicle, though it will most certainly be donated to charity. No news, either, on whether the pope shouted "Slug Bug!" and punched anyone in the arm.
